About Lutheran Community ServicesLutheran Community Services began with a Thrift Store. Today we offer a thrift store, food pantry, soup kitchen (Our Daily Bread) and the annual Christmas Food & Gift program. A core group of Logan County residents from First Lutheran Church began the Thrift Store in 1964. This program has evolved into a community effort and is now an independent community service agency. The board and employees do our best to ensure that some of the basic human needs are given to those less fortunate.
The thrift store offers new and used clothing, housewares, books, furniture and a few food items at low cost. The food pantry offers food and personal hygiene items. Our Daily Bread serves a hot, nutritious meal five days a week at no cost. The annual Christmas food and gift baskets provide helps families during the holiday season. |
